Dutch

(New pics of Buddy coming soon)

Bonnie Mclaughlin's Buddy

Buddy is a black Dutch and was the first rabbit to enter the rabbitry. He is the sweetist rabbit in the world. When I went to the breeders house I was looking for mini lops and walking throught her rabbits I saw him and I wanted him. No one wanted me to have him and the breeder wanted me to take his brother (Chocolate) but I wouldn't let anyone talk me out of it. Buddy will alsways be apart of this family and will be loved forever.

 Jump Around's Kona

Kona is the daughter of Buddy and was out of my first litter. She is sooo sweet and I would never sell her for all the money in the world. She has won 1st place in showmanship and 1st place championship with me at the Topsfield Fair. She has had two litters. The first litter was great and she did really good with them. She had five but only two lived passed 4 weeks and now they both have good homes. The second litter she had six but all have now passed. Her name is Kona because I brought her home when my parents were on the island of Kona in Hawaii.

This awesome litter is from Bunny Blossom Rabbitry , www.freewebs.com/bunnyblossomrabbitry . Pictured is 3 blacks

 and 3 harliquin

Feeding and Watering

Feeding:

You should feed your rabbit daily around the same time. When your rabbit is under 6 months old, feed him or her, an unlimited amount every day. A great feed supplier is Blue Seal. A great type of blue seal is Hutch #17 because it has proteins; you should check with your rabbit’s breeder and see what he/she is feeding the rabbit.  Dutch should have 1/3 to 1/2 of food daily

Water:

Water is probably the most important thing the rabbit needs. You should give the rabbit fresh water AT LEAST once a day at feeding time. Most rabbits will not eat unless they have water. On hot days you should give the rabbit fresh water three times a day and you can even put a few ice cubes into the water. Also on hot days you can fill a 20oz bottle (With label removed) with water and freeze it. Once it is frozen place it in the rabbit’s cage. The rabbit will appreciate it very much
